Uses for a Primitive Spear

Just a few of the uses I have found for my Primitive Spear.

Walking Stick:  I'm an old man and my body isn't as capable of doing the things that my mind thinks it can still do.  Using my spear as a walking stick helps with balance in uneven terrain.

Gigging Frogs/Fish:  This can be accomplished with the hardened wooden tip of the spear itself, but external items can be lashed to the tip as well, if available.

Tracking Stick:  A couple of elastic bands or even well-tied cordage helps measure animal paces for tracking purposes.

Fishing:  A little paracord or other cordage and a homemade hook, and you're set.

Use as splint for leg breaks:  If no other splinting items are available, your spear can be used (as a last resort, of course).

Extension of Human Arms:  A nice sized spear can keep a human further away from invading animals, to keep them at bay.

Leverage:  If no other branches are available, the spear can (in some cases) be used as leverage to assist in lifting/moving heavy objects.

Traditional Spear:  Although not meant for throwing (it could though), spears are ideal for thrusting, jabbing, and stabbing into prey.
